The expansion PWHL Hamilton franchise announced on Sunday it has signed forward Emily Clark to a two-year contract, finalizing its five-player roster additions during Phase 2 of the expansion process.
Clark, previously under contract with Ottawa through the 2027-28 season, joins Hamilton on a new deal covering the same period.
Clark was one of three foundational players for Ottawa ahead of the PWHL’s inaugural season, serving as an alternate captain for three years. The 30-year-old Saskatoon native ranks second in assists (27) and third in goals (16) and points (43) in Ottawa Charge history. She was instrumental in leading the team to consecutive Walter Cup finals.
Clark also holds the franchise record for most games played, with 84 regular-season and 16 post-season appearances.
With Clark’s signing, Hamilton has completed its Phase 2 roster moves. She will be reunited with former Charge captain Brianne Jenner, who was the team’s first Phase 2 signing. Other Phase 2 acquisitions include forward Alina Muller, defender Nicole Gosling, and goaltender Kayle Osborne, all on three-year deals.
