Brianne Jenner of the Ottawa Charge and Minnesota Frost teammates Taylor Heise and Kelly Pannek are the three finalists for the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s forward of the year award.
The winner will be revealed at the PWHL awards ceremony on June 16 in Detroit.
Kelly Pannek led the league in the 2026 season with 33 points and 16 goals, making her just the second player to top both categories in the same season. The first was Toronto’s Natalie Spooner in 2024, who scored 20 goals and added seven assists.
Taylor Heise, the first overall pick in the 2023 PWHL draft, totaled 30 points with 13 goals, setting a league record by achieving six multi-assist games in a single season.
Ottawa Charge captain Brianne Jenner recorded 12 goals and 14 points across 30 games. The 35-year-old from Oakville, Ontario, finished the regular season strong with three goals and four assists in four games, helping the Charge secure the final playoff spot.
Currently, Ottawa is trailing the Montreal Victoire 2-1 in the best-of-five Walter Cup final series. Game 4 will take place Wednesday at Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre.
Last year’s top forward award went to Montreal’s Marie-Philip Poulin. She beat out finalists Sarah Fillier from the New York Sirens and Hilary Knight, who played with the Seattle Torrent after returning from the Boston Fleet.
