The No. 4-seeded pair defeated Russia\u2019s Vera Zvonareva and Germany\u2019s Laura Siegemund, who were seeded 11th, by a score of 6-4, 7-5.<\/p>\n
Dabrowski and Stefani will now face the tournament’s top seeds, Katerina Siniakova of Czechia and American Taylor Townsend, for a place in the final at Stade Roland Garros.<\/p>\n
In other quarterfinal action, teenager Mirra Andreeva cruised into the women\u2019s semifinals with a commanding 6-0, 6-3 victory over Sorana Cirstea on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Play began under the court\u2019s closed roof due to rain, marking Cirstea\u2019s first quarterfinal appearance at Roland Garros in 17 years.<\/p>\n
The 19-year-old Russian dominated from the start, breaking the serve of the 36-year-old Romanian veteran twice early in the match to take control. Although Cirstea fought back in the second set and traded breaks, Andreeva\u2019s powerful groundstrokes and net play ultimately prevailed.<\/p>\n
Andreeva will face the winner of an all-Ukrainian quarterfinal between Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk, who remains unbeaten on clay this season.<\/p>\n
On the men\u2019s side, Spain\u2019s rising star Rafael Jodar was outmatched by second-seeded Alexander Zverev, falling 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3. Meanwhile, Jakub Mensik secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating Brazilian breakout player Joao Fonseca 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(3). Mensik became the youngest Czech man to reach the semis at a Grand Slam event.<\/p>\n
